Physician Registration
Register with National:
Call 1-800-642-1999 and have your initial phone
assessment with an Account Manager.
Complete our application and submit the necessary
documentation listed.
Employment Opportunities:
An account manager will contact you with locum
tenens and permanent job opportunities. When a suitable
assignment has been found, you will be presented
to our client.
NOTE: You will not be presented
to a client unless you have given the account manager
authorization to do so.
Acceptance of Assignment:
Once both parties are in agreement, you will be
sent a contract. Each contract is for a particular
locum tenens job assignment and details the client,
location, coverage dates, salary, and any other
special needs. All locum tenens physicians are independent
contractors. National recommends
that you speak with your accountant or financial
advisor regarding taxes and other issues related
to this status.
Credentialing:

National Physician Staffing will
provide the necessary paperwork to help obtain staff
privileges at our client’s facility. It is
essential that the completed paperwork be returned
in a timely fashion.
Invoice/Time Sheets:

- Locum tenens physicians must have their invoice
signed by an authorized client representative.
- Submit a copy of the invoice to the client and
National Physician Staffing.
- The invoice should reflect hours worked plus
any reimbursable expenses.
- Physicians are reimbursed on a weekly or bi-weekly
basis. Accuracy on your invoice is extremely important.
